Three Paintings
The gallery is apparently empty. Three spots of light emphasize the walls’ white creating a subtle hierarchy inside the emptiness. We show the tendency of taking a certain distance of these spots ourselves, in the same way as we do when looking at a painting. As we find the right distance, we can hear a sound above our heads. These are three descriptions of imaginary paintings. The narratives invite us to project on the wall the images carefully told. The difficult concentration, the treasons of memory and the imbalance between the two languages there make of it a frustrating task. (fragment of Jailton Moreira’s Text)
